I have lived in Cooktown for 20 years.  During these years I have enjoyed learning a few different art forms including, pottery, stained glass, mosaics.  Finally, I found my real passion when I began making beaded jewellery about 5 years ago.

I’ve been a member of Cooktown Creative Arts Assoc. inc. for 10 yrs.  CCAA and its members have been very supportive through the years .  The Local Art & Craft Shop operated by CCAA offers me an ideal space to display and sell my jewellery.  This is the only outlet where my jewellery is sold.

Pieces I make include, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, bookmarks, handbag charms, mobile phone charms and mobiles.  These are all my own designs.

The challenges of living in a remote location can be  rewarding in that we learn to make use of what we have and learn to be creative.  Keeping up with latest trends that are popular and will appeal to people is always a full time job.  Every piece is a one off.

When someone purchases my jewellery, they can be confident that there is not   another one the same anywhere.
