Cape York Folk Club presents; A literary walk down Charlotte St, Poets Break and Writter's Camp.

 Poet's Brekky & Writer's Cramp!

This is an interactive literary  walk down Charlotte St, with different things happening in different places as you walk towards the Bowls Club.

Captains Table Restaurant from 9am:  Published authors : John Hill, Eric George, Gary Hutchinson talking about their experiences as authors and answering your questions.

Captains Table Restaurant from 10:30am:  Poet's Brekky with Marty, Jen &  Di Keller.

The Top Pub beer garden from Noon:  Workshop with Michael Quinn : The Workings of Synchronicity – Tales of fate and destiny. Michael shows the link between dreams and mythology.  Share synchronization experiences with a focus toward writing endeavours.

The CWA Hall from 1pm:  Lunch & snacks available with Scrabble and boardgames – BYO game! 

The Top Pub from 1:30pm:  Dale Kulka w. free-style rap instruction, Songwriting  w. RoadTripper's front man Gav Dear  

The CWA Hall from 1:30pm:  Illustrator's Workshop with local artist  Jane Dennis & Sandy Lloyd graphics & design.

The CWA Hall from 2:30pm on the Verandah: Storyteller Emily Kamholtz w. Kid's Stories.

The CWA Hall from 3pm:  Interactive Story with Roz Smith “The Legend of Black Mountain with Evie and Adam.”

Cooktown Bowl's Club Restaurant from 4:30pm:  A Panel of Peers  read out and award the “Golden & Silver Quill Prizes” for entries in the 100 word and 500 word story competition.  Guest  storyteller Michael Quin entertains us with a World Interactive Story, also we will read poetry created from the theme :  A figment of Cape York.
