Hill Top is an organic farm fifteen minutes from Cooktown. Ideally situated to explore historic Cooktown and the surrounding spectacular landscapes.
At Hill Top Farm we are developing innovative organic farming systems using permaculture principles. We recycle, compost our waste, generate our own electricity and heat water with solar power and use environmentally-friendly cleaning products. A real eco retreat!
Our private cabin and safari tent open out onto verandas with uninterrupted views of the sacred hill of Gapul da Guthay, dense bush and sandstone escarpments - a great place to read, birdwatch, or tuck in to a bowl of fresh organic fruit from the farm.
We have a self-contained, twin-share cabin, canvas safari tent sleeping four and camping sites for groups. The cabin is a creatively converted shipping container and the safari tent is furnished- providing a cosy retreat, a home from home. Our guests have exclusive use of the facilities.
Safari tent $25/person and cabin $35/person. Off season and long term rates available from Oct – April.
