The tour visits actual WW2 sites on the island, e.g. plane wrecks, underground command posts, slit trenches etc, while their entertaining commentary is a combination of both archival and personal stories.
This tour can be enjoyed in one day with a trip to Thursday Island, though with so much to see and do in the area, a overnight visit is a highlight. Many packages available including lunch.
