The Cook Shire community is invited to join Council in celebrating Australia Day and recognising the outstanding contributions of local individuals and groups who help make our region such a special place to live. The morning will begin with a Citizenship Ceremony, welcoming new Australian citizens to our community. This will be followed by the Australia Day Awards, which acknowledge individuals and groups who demonstrate commitment, leadership and community spirit within the Cook Shire. The celebration will conclude with a community morning tea, providing an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate all nominees and award recipients together. Community members are encouraged to attend and be part of this important day of recognition and celebration.
